Bagz by the bag lady is a home based business run by Sue Karabensh and myself, her daughter-in-law, Larissa Karabensh.
The idea to start making bagz came Christmas 2007 after Sue was cleaning up all of our wrapping paper. Wirh a family of 15 the wrapping paper, boxes, ribbons and bows engulfs the living room. It was overwhelming to see! Sue was moved by this and decided she needed to come up with a solution. She started making bagz with old material scraps she had in her sewing room. Then a friend mentioned that she could get upholstery samples that would otherwise be thrown away. Brilliant!
After passing them around the family, we both decided we needed to spread the word and give others the chance to stop using wrapping paper too!
